Dubai is open and ready to welcome visitors worldwide. All arrivals in Dubai must present proof of vaccination (i.e. certificates), a negative COVID-19 PCR test, or proof of recent recovery from COVID-19.

Requirements

Although Dubai is open and ready to welcome visitors, there are requirements that must be met. The first ones are, of course, entry visa requirements.

Additionally, all passengers traveling to Dubai, including passengers from Cairo, have to present one of the following requirements:

  • Valid COVID-19 vaccination certificates that show the holder is already fully vaccinated with a vaccine that is accepted in the Emirates.
  • A valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate. This certificate must be issued by an approved health service provider, issued within 48 hours from the time of sample collection, and with a QR code.
  • A valid medical certificate that proves the passenger has recovered from COVID-19 within a month (from the date of recovery to the date of arrival). This certificate must be issued by the relevant authorities.

Note that all certificates must be printed in either English or Arabic. If your certificates are printed in other languages, you can use them provided that they are validated at the originating station. Also, all printed certificates must have a valid QR code.

What to expect

Wearing face masks is mandatory in all public indoor venues but is optional in outdoor areas.

While you’re at it, don’t forget to ride an abra, a traditional ferry-like boat. The ticket is very affordable, so it is something you definitely don’t want to miss. After riding an abra, you can visit the alleyways and experience the city like a local.

4. Dubai Desert

Let the Arabian desert entices you. In the Dubai Desert, you can do thrilling activities like sandboarding and quad biking, go on a desert safari, and enjoy the delicious local cuisine under the stars. You can spend an unforgettable night amid the dunes, too.

5. Dubai Mall

Situated next to the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall is the largest destination for shopping, leisure, and entertainment in the world. Featuring 1,200-plus retail stores, hundreds of F&B outlets, and two major department stores, the mall covers an area of over 1 million sqm.

6. Skydive Dubai

If you want to witness the gorgeous views, go to the View at the Palm. The View is an observation deck on level 52 of the Palm Tower. Situated 240 meters high, allowing you to see the 360-degree panoramas of the Palm Jumeirah.
